PURPOSE STATEMENT
This specialised short course introduces the learner to advanced concepts of Geographical Information Systems (GIS). The training is conducted on ArcGIS software and is aimed at individuals who regularly use GIS and wish to further their skills and knowledge to be able to competently use ArcGIS software. Extensive practical exercises are offered through a logical manner in order for the learner to grasp the advanced applications and obtain a working knowledge of ArcGIS.

The duration of this course is 6 days and the cost is R4800.00 per person (includes: accommodation, meals, course manual)
WHAT TO BRING
Participants will be required to bring their own laptop computers with the following minimum requirements:
We also encourage participants to bring a GPS receiver if they have available. Due to software licensing, the software will be loaded onto the participant’s laptop for the duration of the course only. The cost of the course does not include the software.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
This training deals with advanced concepts in the field of GIS. Anyone who already has a good working knowledge of GIS and is interested in understanding and applying more advanced GIS applications can attend the course.
Applicants must have already have attended a basic GIS course and must have a good working knowledge of the ArcView GIS software.
